Mikumi National Park, is compared to the other National Parks and Game Reserves in South Tanzania, relatively small, 3.230 Sq km, with the nickname “Small Serengeti”. The National Park is famous for having a great variety of animals and is home to four out of the famous Big 5, with only the Rhino missing. You will also find animals that are rarely found in other National Parks, such as the Sable Antelope, African
Hunting Dog, Blue Wildebeest, Lichtenstein’s Hartebeest. Only 5 km away from the entrance gate you will find the Hippo Pools, where the hippos and a great variety of water birds are the stars of the show. Not only the wildlife is a highlight of this National Park. You will
also be amazed by its beautiful environment as this National Park is decorated by scenic plains and baobab trees, offering guests beautiful views while on game drive. Day Trip: Zanzibar - Mikumi - Zanzibar

After an early and short flight from Zanzibar, your driver and his safari vehicle will be waiting for you to explore this gem. The advantage of this relatively small park is that you will encounter the first wildlife after only a few minutes drive. A restaurant lunch
as a midday break and a late afternoon flight back complete your safari day.
